 Is something better than nothing?

« on: September 02, 2007, 01:37:24 AM »
Well, after scouring of our esteemed Mods forum headings, my ludicrous thinking on a point of philosophy seems to have no other home but here amongst the divergent amusements.

But that seems fair enough as I believe this site is founded on ideals of producing something useful at the end of the day, and one rarely hears the phrase uttered "Dammit! We're doomed. Unless, wait, is that a philosopher over there?".

So, to my pithy, laboured, ironic moment of poigancy:

Nihilism seems kind of pointless, don't you reckon?

"Dammit! In a few thousand years we're doomed! Unless, wait is that a philospher over there? Yes! He'll come up with an idea that the people of today will deem ludicrous and fanciful dying before the populace mindset changes only to have his seeds sown amongst pupils and pages to be gradually engrained in the majority psychie causing a collective epiphany that will alter the worlds course just before the aforementioned doom!"

I think the above is uttered much more often.  cheesey

Nihilism seems kind of pointless, don't you reckon?

I was about to reply with an answer to this but then I realised that you didn't ask the question as there could not possibly be a means for conveyance of such a query considering that for a question to be asked it has to exist thus meaning this sentence should end here....
